The rubber's good, but the fit is terrible. Maybe it's just my feet, but every time I went to put them on, I cringed just thinking about it. My Katanas are a full size smaller and feel a thousand times better.

I love this shoe! It is my first Sportiva and I don't think I could ever go back because the fit is just phenomenal. I was wearing Scarpa Turbos and then Madrock Flashes before I bought the women's Katanas and there's just no comparison. LaSportiva's rubber may not quite be as good as the Madrock rubber but I definitely would take the excellent fit over slightly better rubber. The heels were a bit painful at first but the shoes molded to my feet really nicely. I'd definitely recommend this shoe to any woman who climbs at an intermediate/advanced level.
