What a day! Hard to believe we are over 11,000 ft. The temperature had to be about 75 degrees. This is a picture of me after descending the disappointment cleaver on Mt. Rainier. In the background is the ingraham glacier. The photo was taken by one of my clients.

The day before climbing Disappointment Cleaver on Mt. Rainier we hiked up to the Muir hut.

Rainier looks surreal, from the Seattle waterfront. It definitely dominates the horizon!

The large ice cliffs on the Emmons Glacier were very beautiful. This pic of a party descending is taken from our camp at Emmons Flats.

This is just below the Clever (somewhere around 11,500?) Looking down on a 2 fellas (they are the two specs out on the glacier) who just survived some mean rockfall, which our team would also deal with minutes later...otherwise a gorgeous day.

This is probably as close as I'll get to being famous...posing outside the tent that Ed Viesturs slept in the night before. Ed (or should I say, Mr. Viesturs) was busy hauling some people up the DC for a fundraiser when this picture was taken. Camp Muir, Mt. Rainier, WA
