Keith's 5.7

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Keith's 5.7

Keith pushing a 5.7 piece. There are a couple of fixed piton's here. If we had prepared for a fast ascent more properly we would have taken Twight's advice and brought some aiders to go quickly past this rock piece without having to put rock shoes on, especially in the 40 degree F notch.

Cruisin

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Cruisin

Keith took this picture of Nick on the Lamb's Slide. We were off to a great start and, after this section of the climb, were attempting to summit Long's Peak via Alexander Chimney. Even though I look like I'm just "cruisin" here, this is pretty much rock alley at this point, and we're dodging stones the size of a fist, which of course, were hailed down upon us from the mountain gods.

Descending Lambs slide

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Descending Lambs slide

after enjoying perfect weather for an accent of Alexander's chimney, thick clouds rolled in making the decent some what scary. We followed tracks and the trail back down to tree line and then got lost, swimming and post hole-ing by compass through the woods almost a mile, ending up in goblin's forest. April 23, 2006.

Avalanche on the east face of Longs Peak

Average Rating = 2.80/5 Avalanche on the east face of Longs Peak

This photo was taken on the top of Lady Washington after a spring traning hike. I also wanted to recon the east face to see If an accent of Kieners was possible. I decided it would be a good idea to wait. The frequency of the slides was amazing. One of these would fall off somewhere about every 45 seconds. It looks small, but that slide is almost 200ft wide.

Crazy Sky on Lamb's Slide

Average Rating = 3.46/5 Crazy Sky on Lamb's Slide

This was my first ice climb. Tim (pictured) was basically guiding me up this. We were gonna do Kiener's, but a late start combined with fresh snow on the route meant we ended up going all the way back down Lamb's Slide.

Top O' Longs Peak

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Top O' Longs Peak

After all the hype I'd heard about the Long's Peak trail, I didn't think I would be impressed. "If so many people do it, it can't be that tough", I thought. On the contrary, the whole trip was thrilling. The second half turned out to be more of a climb than a hike...a climb with tremendous exposure to boot. It was a long but unforgettable day. This is a picure of my brothers, and my cousin, and I. I took the picture with the help of a rock serving as a tripod.
