This rock is along side the road that leads up to the Garden parking area. I believe the trailhead there is John's Brooke. It's on the right side of the road with a few fun problems on it.

Thought I needed a new profile pic. This was a recent weekend at Shelf Road

Morning after my sleepless night. I was so happy to have company when everyone woke up. I lied there the whole night shivering, waiting for the morning when the sun would come out. Damn Therma-Rest had a whole when I took it out the night before.

Marcel and I decided to leave our packs at the Lean-to and try to get on as much of the Range as we could. The temps were bitter. We made it to Gothics.

Here's Crista and Marcel bundled up in the Lean-To. We were crackin jokes the whole time, so they could be laughing at a joke or the fact that my therma-rest went flat and I froze the whole night.

Here's Marcel in the back of my Jeep. We were driving around Keene Valley after our backpacking. He bought a 12 of Magic Hat and kept pourin it in everyones Nalgenes. hhmmmmm#9.

Good music and good company at 65mph, what can one do, but smile.

Mother Nature gave me ice for my birthday. Little weak, but ice none the less. What a day this was.

Here is John on the over hanging dyno. This one captures the hardest moment of the move. You really gotta bite down with your hands has your whole body swings away from the wall. I love the chalk in the air.

The crew at RIT always plays good music. It helps when your feelin the moves. Here is one of the regulars ready to top-out. On this shot I was just playing around with my camera. It actually came out better then I expected. I would like to experiment more with these kind of shots and see what I can come up with.

Yes folks you can top-out on this structure. It may be indoor, but it won't hesitate to spit you off.

Ian stuck this one-handed dyno to a hand pinch hold on this over hanging problem. I don't know how he held on, but then again these are the type of moves one could expect from this guy.

Full of smiles and a contagious laugh, Lisa's company was the most memorable part of this trip.

At heart she loves to boulder. So I give her credit for coming out and doing some trad with us. Next time it's your call Lisa.

This is basically the same shot as "Campsite" #1. Just taken from a distance. To lay there between 2 mountians you realize your sleeping with giants.

Her is the Trap Dyke of Mt. Colden opening down into Avalanche Lake. If you look closely all the way into the dyke alittle bit to the right and right in the middle on a longitude scale, you can see a little white dot. That is actually someone wearing a white t-shirt. I would have zoomed in but I wanted to show the scale in size here. Seeing this really fired up the anticipation as we were on our way up that.
