I searched a long time to find some climbable rock. Thanks to a helpful local who shall remain unnamed, I found a set of good boulders.

Pretty tough 5.8+ crack at East Verde. I wonder if Josh got the FFA on this one. Took this shot while Josh was getting some pro higher up. Don't forget your big bros.

After topping out on this one Josh noticed some law enforcers over by the Eagle. Hence the name... This ain't no Astrochoss.

View of Parking Lot rock from the descent of Morrel's wall. There's not too many houses out there yet. Give it a couple of more years. Climber is on Seven Up. A route starts just left up the leaning boulder. Back to the Wall goes up between the boulder and the wall.

Ahwanee Boulders are a fun diversion. This boulder features a slopy traverse to an interesting top out.

Bouldering below the Italian Embassy and above Rock Creek. If you're in DC for a day, it is a fun diversion.

Interesting rock can be found at Boxcar. If you can find it... It's only one and a half mountains from Lickdale. The second one down from the major ridge.

Unknown climb between "Seven Up" and "Back Against the Wall".

An interesting route with nice plated rock at the top can be found just left of Green Bannana Jam.

There are some boulders and some sharp bouldering to be found by the Matterhorn on Mt. Lemmon.

Bannana Cake is a classic route that seldom gets done. Windy Point area is in the background.

Some of the largest bolts that you will ever see at a climbing area are at the top of Lost Nuts at Pinnacle Peak. Lost Nuts and its neighboring route are probably two of the least climbed routes at Pinnacle Peak besides Bear Route. I couldn't even clip a standard oval biner onto one of these behemoths. Other routes at Pinnacle Peak still await bolt replacement such as the bolt shown in the lower left corner of this picture. This 1/4 inch bolt and two others of similar quality can be found on Deliverance.

A fun problem at Bloody Basin. This problem is left of the obvious large face that can be seen from I-17.

A sampling of some of the Bloody Basin Boulders. The boulder on the east side of the hill has at least three good problems with good landings.

This is the classic route on the west side of the Superstitions. Better quality then the Hand with a nice lofty summit.

This is one of the good pieces of protection found on the second pitch of the Tower. This is an ultra classic, must not miss route.

Some classic fixed protection on the Tower including a rivet and an old piton. Don't forget to rush out and do this route next time you're in the Phoenix area.

Fun diversion if you are going to do Grandfather Hobgoblin. Step down and across to this tiny little pinnacle.

Originally rated 5.8, a hold busted at the beginning making this climb much harder. Thin 5.10 moves lead to basketball zenolith and easier crack moves.

Another good problem on Bolt Rock. This one avoids using the arete.

About three miles down a nasty 4 wheel drive road gets you to Lower Devil's Canyon. Has some of the best roped climbing in Queen Creek.

Shot taken from the Pond at sunset. A 5.7x route ascends a rotten pinnacle below the right end of the "table top". Boyce Thompson Arboretum is also below the mesa.

The rock this route lies on is just past the old health food store. It provided solitude on a busy weekend.

If you're seeking some solitude from the crowds at Pinnacle Peak, climb this route on the left side of the South Face.
