This is definitely my favorite route in the gorge. I managed to snap a few shots of my buddies doing this route. Lens is 50mm (F1.4). Also, I used a 81b skin tones filter as well as a circular polarizer, (trying to mediate some glare off the skin)

Josh Trick onsighting Burning Calves, (5.10b) at Beauty Mountain, New River Gorge. I bought myself a new camera for my birthday and was happy to roll off this set of Josh cruising this sweet route! Nikon D200, 18-70mm F3.5 (set at F4)

Adam Whisthoff engages the first crux of Apollo Reed (5.12), Summersville Lake, West Virgnia. It was a piddly, rainy day and everything was wet, including the "Always Dry" DC memorial so we headed over the Coliseum to take burns on the the grossly overhaning (and dripping) Apollo Reed. Thankfully the holds are big enough that this route can be done bolt to bolt even when it is wet. The setup for this problem was a super-scareball. Hanging off one single bolt (and quite rusty I might add), but I think the photoset was worth the risk. Nikon D70 35mm F2.0 (White Balance - Cloudy)
