Description:

This is a 14ner that you want to start early, it is an alpine climb on the Mt. Princeton trail. The trail climbs steeply through alpine at first ande then you hit a saddle area that is softer. It gently starts ascending again and then takes on a pumping pace for a couple of hours...you start to notice treeline and then really hit tundra. YOU really think you are going to summit and then you see that it is a false summit....you loose 300 vertical feet before starting the final ascent. It is the toughest 14 er I have done in Colorado and I have done 32.

5 out of 5 stars Tough climb

A tough 14er but well worth it. A since of accomplishment will come out of this one.
