Description:

Geurt's Ridge is the rugged ridge that rises directly to the South summit coming from the west. Hike the Mt. Olympus hiking trail up to the creek crossing. Stay on the trail another ~500 vertical feet, then cut north through the scrub, just above a small series of cliffs. Keep contouring north until you find the ridge (don't cross the canyon). Then, simply climb this rocky ridge for ~2000 vertical feet directly to the summit. A few rappels are required along the way.

4 out of 5 stars Nice scramble

Didn't pick the best spot to cut over so I had a pretty heinous bushwhack. The ridge itself is great, several sections of fun climbing with a lot of scrambling between. Solo was interesting, would have been better to be familiar with the route first. Gear placement looks like it would take more creativity than on the West Slabs. Took about 5 hours car to car, could shave an hour off knowing the area better.

3 out of 5 stars First winter technical rock climb

Fun route! Requires some route finding, and we had some trick powder-covered slabs to navigate at the end
