5 out of 5 stars Stellar 2nd pitch

Followed p1 led p2. First pitch is ackward but fun. 2nd pitch is one of the funnest cracks I've climbed. Ranges from narrow hands to offwidth with some excellent jams and a short section of perfect fists. Crux roof is mostly mental with solid feet. Eats pro with a variety of options. Used doubles of TCUs 1-3, C4s 1-3, one #4 and a couple larger offset stoppers.

4 out of 5 stars Great topout

Easy climb, my kids loved it. Topping out on the dam is pretty sweet. TCU 2 or 3 can protect the crack after the 4th bolt if you want.

5 out of 5 stars Worthy of its "Classic" status

Fun and varied climbing. Scrambled the 1st pitch, led P2 (5.8), followed half of P3 (5.6) then led the rest of P3 combined with P4 (5.7-5.8). Followed P5 (5.6), Led P6 and P7 combined (5.7-5.8) and P8 (sustained 5.7). Followed P9 and P10 combined (5.5, exposed 5.3) then led P11 (crux felt 5.9, though I missed a key hold that probably would have made it 5.8). Beautiful day on nice rock. Scrambled up and walked off to a second car on top. Brought 9 draws, 4 runners and 3 double runners, and some locking draws for anchors. Skipped about 5 bolts on each of the combined pitches.

3 out of 5 stars Fun

Easy start. The most fun of the four rights on the right side of the crag. Steepest, tallest, and most straightforward of the four routes (most obvious holds, not as much of a friction slab).

5 out of 5 stars Good spring climb

While most people are still skiing the nearby bowls and cols is a good time to get on this otherwise busy route. A couple sunny days in a row gave us mostly dry rock with only snow (and a bit of ice) in the chimney, around the whale's back, and near the summit block. The opening moves can be a bit awkward in boots but the friction is great. Used a half set of medium nuts, 2 medium hexes, and a 2-3 cams in the .5 to 2 inch range. Approached via the snow-filled gully from the hairpin turn below the peak.

4 out of 5 stars Low snow levels

Very little snow below 5000' and melting fast making the lower couloir a little sketchy. Plenty of good snow above 6000' including a fair amount of icy snow near the summit. Overall route is in good condition. Numerous downed trees on trail but trail is very well marked all the way to the bottom of the couloir.
