3 out of 5 stars Favorite route on the wall

Great holds all the way up. I haven't climbed here in over 5 years, came back and did the full circuit again and tried out some of the "new" routes. I remember now why the area is so popular. The climbs are pretty decent, especially the bottom 2/3 of each. Easy finish on all of them.

4 out of 5 stars Nice scramble

Didn't pick the best spot to cut over so I had a pretty heinous bushwhack. The ridge itself is great, several sections of fun climbing with a lot of scrambling between. Solo was interesting, would have been better to be familiar with the route first. Gear placement looks like it would take more creativity than on the West Slabs. Took about 5 hours car to car, could shave an hour off knowing the area better.

3 out of 5 stars Memories

First time in LCC in several years, hit this with a friend I climbed it with 5 years ago. Led as a single pitch with a 70m rope. 6 cams and a set of nuts. Used long slings and the rope drag wasn't too bad.

5 out of 5 stars Stellar

One of my favorite summit climbs. Beautiful approach. Nice exposure on the second half of the climb. Pitched out the first pitch, simulclimbed about half, then 5 long pitches to the top. The last pitch was a slippery, wet, mud and snow-choked slog but the rest of the climing was excellent. Descent was a little tricky with high early July snow levels. Should have brought crampons.

3 out of 5 stars Soft for the grade

Excellent placement of bolts, good for padding your lead grade. 1-2 well protected hard moves between the first and second bolt. A couple well protected physical moves in the bouldery "5.10c" finish. Only felt a couple grades harder than the 5.6 next to it (Silhouettes). That one felt 5.10-ish. This one 5.9-ish. Shares an anchor with that route with a single quicklink for rap.

3 out of 5 stars Better with gear

Used yellow TCU for the crack below the first bolt. Blue TCU would probably fit better. Stout crux for a 5.6.

2 out of 5 stars Practice area

Used to demonstrate lead belay and gear cleaning. Led several variations. Most fun route was the rib on the right side near the tree.

3 out of 5 stars Good gear practice

Led this 7 or 8 times teaching lead belay and route cleaning. Good options for placing a variety of active and passive pro including hexes and big bros.
