I seconded this route six months earlier and led it this time. It was definitely the hardest trad lead I've ever done. Before this, I've lead a few easy 5.6s at Taylors Falls, MN, so this was definitely a jump. It's a really fun climb - great view, good exposure. The crux is certainly a little harder than the rest of the second pitch, but it's not bad. If you've got experience climbing hand & fist sized cracks, you'll have no trouble with this one. Both times I've climbed this crack my right big toe has been numb for months afterward from all the smearing - that was scary the first time and a pleasant reminder the second time.
