Low angle face with multiple ledges to gain standing rests on. This climb would be awesome if the waterfall into the pond was flowing, but Dead Pool would be an even better choice. The base is a nice and shady spot to take a break from the Sun if you're out there in the summer.

My book and map call this a 5.7. It felt more like a 5.8, at least on lead, because it's so sustained. There are a couple moves toward the bottom that if you don't make them quickly you can get really pumped out, but it's relatively thin so moving quickly isn't easy. My buddy, who this should be well within his ability had to come down after 1/2 because he was too pumped out. I could have finished without my one rest hang, but I was pretty pumped out half way up and didn't know when a rest was coming and wanted to be safe on lead.

Feet stick great. Not very comfortable with hands yet!

Loved this route. It's just a little rough on the fingers but worth it. Bulge is easy but thin section after bulge takes some concentration. It's all there, though. Everything up from there is pocket happy.

Always a great route and that thin start certainly wakes you up. I noticed a new route inbetween Safe Pool & Dead Pool, either that or Dead Pool finally got some more bolts

The start is fun because you start over one of the ponds. The climb must have been re-bolted lately because it wasn't a run out at all,plenty of bolts and it ends with two cold shuts at the top.
