Shark's Fin Arete
The first move to get on the wall may be the crux. Loose for the first ~15 feet, solid after that. Great view after topping out. Makes for great postcard photo w/ Mt. Whitney in the background.

2nd time outdoor sport climbing.
TR'd this route - too bad my friends didn't get that classic Fin / Whitney shot, right? Shit, they weren't even paying attention on belay. Had a little trouble with the 1st move. Other than that...nice climb for a newbie!

Hard 5.7
Runout on top over rough rock. Should be a solid 5.8 climber to lead this. The adjacent East Face route is nicer and better protected.
