Another stellar route! These are just fun!

12/31/04 this was a fun one - in 70-degree weather on the last day of 2004, which has been an incredible year for me, largely due to all the climbing. Definitely the hardest lead I've done so far, especially in that a slip before the second bolt would have put me on rock, not on a nice dirt ledge as on Accidents/SuperSlide, etc. (not that I've yet led SuperSlide successfully, but definitely on the next go . . .)

Anyway I'm lovin' Quartz more and more every time, and finally getting around some - today we worked way out right, on this route and the classic 3-bolt, and then later we bouldered around to the left of the trail in, a first for me. Now I'm keen to link up Pizza Face and Snake's Head, probably in a big solo push although PF looks like it will take some gear - perhaps the big tricams I got in my stocking?

4/3/04 Did this one again, following berkly's redpoint lead. Nice one again, gets a bit thin!

Fell off a couple times at the opening move, then the rest is a real nice solid 5.9 slab climb. Good exposure for quartz. 4-3-05 Redpointed this fun route. Thin in sections and sustained
