Good pro as long as you bring a variety, wires very useful.

Very enjoyable, easily protected trad route. Lives up to it's name when selecting what gear to place. Anchors are awkward to reach, I swing right at loose block and place a cam before reaching over to clip the anchor.

Cold day, loose pro. Update: I climbed this again yesterday(3/17/07) for the first time since April 2003. The loose stuff was mainly in the first 15 or so feet but the pro gets better with the climbing. TCU's were pretty useful. The fixed nut is starting to look a little suspect but is still pretty bomb. I backed it up with a Red Alien. There is a new route to the left of Gear Battle. A lone bolt to a thin face and hand crack, not sure of the rating, but the anchors for this route were a nice change from the original Gear Battle anchors. It allows for a nice TR set up if you want to turn laps. The Gear Battle variant is still pretty chossy.
