It's definitely better to run the first two pitches together; you won't spend as much time baking in the hot sun. I'm not sure where the nominal second pitch goes; it seems to wander and get easier. I went up from the bolts instead of going above the P1 arete. Finished on the last pitch of Billy Shears.

The crux for P1 is about 2/3 of the way up the arete; everything goes blank. We ran P1 and P2 together; the crux on P2 is right off the mark - better hands are out right. Watch for people rapping as you head up P2; we had to divert left up the face to escape that. P3 starts with a nice traverse with no pro off the start; you have to wander about 10 feet from the belay, go up onto a face, and wander back to a notch to go up. It'll take good pro above and below, when you get to it. Led P3, followed P1 and P2.

6/12/04 - Led Ribless, two pitches as described above. Scary, but there. No falls, no rests.
