Dec 2011 Update. Hang Dog ascent on lead. Getting around the overhang and established on the face and crack is the crux of the route. Would be a scary fall missing this.

Fun route...like everyone says, different than typical for the area. Different crack movement. Watch the water while lowering or pulling the rope.

this is my favorite route at the dam. Agreed it is very atypical of the area (spencer)

I really enjoyed this one. As other people have said, it's got some interesting movement on it. It also had the advantage of being in the sun early on in the day, and it was cold enough yesterday that there was ice floating in Malibu Creek.
