Description:
One of the more popular climbs at Mount Scott - should be rated R because there is a 20 foot runout in the middle of the climb. Very nice hand crack that ends about 35 feet up. Gear up good near the top of the crack and then make face moves up and right along the arete for about fifteen feet until you can mantle back left onto a small ledge and the crack starts again.

original re. 6/23/04 I was 2nding spivey - 'twas fun and steeper than the slabbier stuff I'd been on, so a good re-intro to the Refuge. Dig that easy approach! (edit to mess with weirdness in my route links) edit again since I led it: awesome friday eve route after beam led atomic knee drop - this was my big lead for the weekend, slightly runout but turned out solid. overcame!
