Challenging and fun
I like Sandrock because of this type of route. Challenging but fun. Any time I can sling horns and use tri-cams, it's a good day. I wouldn't call this an easy 5.8 lead unless you want to run it out.

Challenging start
Start is the toughest part. Fun middle with good protection. Top is run out. As mentioned, not a lot of good protection at start to rap or belay from except the trees which are set back.

Great practice lead
Straight forward climbing and takes gear easy. Great route to practice placing gear and also a good warmup climb.

Agree with everyone else that the crux is probably 5.8ish. Easy to protect, fun route.
