5 out of 5 stars Great climb on great rock

An excellent time was had by all.... went back 16 yrs later and added a couple more bolts, now super safe for any length leader.

4 out of 5 stars Technical....

5.11d/12a took some time to work this one. I've never seen it onsighted yet. Very thin crux after the strenuous finger crack start. The upper pitches (left and right variations, Eucharistic BBQ being the regular continuation of Orgone Donor)) make for a great sustained continuation.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Adventure!

Ground up on-sight ascent, old school 5.9. Didn't have any cams (large or small, large would have been nice), so the crux at 150' up was unprotected yet there was an old sling around an out of reach chock-stone near there, so it had been climbed before, or maybe lowered off of.... Amazing climbing, but I wouldn't do it again without a huge cam. Mega classic.

4 out of 5 stars THE TESTES TEST

The steep face right of IN DEPTH, follow the bolts up and right to the gear protected high crux. Lower from the cold shuts (80'). Sustained with a few good rests up varied and interesting rock to a great top anchor spot on the arete. A Classic Kettle Valley 11a!

3 out of 5 stars LAYAWAY

5.10b/c * (G or TR) first pitch variation for IN DEPTH (the 5.8 *** bigger crack on the right), a sustained strenuous layback if you avoid using the big right crack.

4 out of 5 stars PAP SMEAR

Begins on the lower right side of the arete (rock a bit grainy), traverse left as soon as possible and climb the arete to the cold shuts. 80' 5.11b ** 7 bolts/ 1 medium stopper need up high near the anchors.

5 out of 5 stars good intro to Gunks

Amazing top pitch. 5.4, but I had to keep repeating that as a mantra to maintain my cool.

5 out of 5 stars Delightful

First pitch gets the short crux out of the way (and humerous body-roll mantle onto the belay) and the second is easy and fun all the way to the top (beware of rope drag). Totally safe and fun classic Gunks route!

5 out of 5 stars Lovely end to the day

Pretty hard seeming 5.7 offwidth.... but the 3rd pitch makes it all worthwhile! Great exposure, pro and holds for a classic Gunks finish. (And the uncertainty of the route finding made it a grand adventure)

3 out of 5 stars fun easy long day out

11 pitches with lots of bolts, some scrambling between - makes for easy route finding. 3 really good pitches in all. Lots of lower 5th class climbing with the lower section having a few 5.6 moves, upper crux more like 5.7, - Lots of questionable rock, holds and loose rock - especially dangerous on rappel - wear a helmet! We climbed the route car to car in 12 hrs (7 hrs from 1st pitch to top) with a party of 5. Lots of fun, great views, easy, safe leads and belay and rap stations. Don't wear sandals for the scree riding trail descent!
