this is what a good fun trad crack with my dad on his first multipitch should feel like. sinker hand and fists all the way up. bomber pro everywhere. and a little smearing mixed in to boot! I literally smiled like a drunk maniac at every piece of gear in placed.

easy warm up
a nice way to start or end the day. And then get lost in the canyon for a while and watch my dad get stabbed bad in the leg by a cactus.

first climb ever in AZ. nice and odd feeling volcanic tuff. pockets everywhere... almost hard to choose which jug to use!

easy as breathing
i climbed three 5.6s that day. all of them were noticeably different difficulties. This one was the easiest. mightve been the easiest climb ive ever done. But it was fun, and nice views. I thought the crux was the first move.

whoa!
liked the crux. not a hard move, but much harder than the rest of the route. Because of the big ledges all the way up you can get rests (if you need them) but i wouldnt want to fall onto one of them. This was the hardest 5.6 of the three i climbed that day.

fantastic fun
this was my favourite climb at the Pond, on the one day i could cram in there. Great moves and perfect consistency for the grade. well protected and thought provoking but not gripping.
