I think this is the best route on Symmetry though I'll admit I've only done this one and Direct Jensen. This was done in the 'non summer' of 93 when few or no guided parties summited the Grand (we got stormed off in late July).

Red Point Red Point ascent by: douggeller on 1981-07-31 (View Climbing Log)

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

We climbed this route the day after climbing Middle via the N. Ridge. 1981 was a dry year with v. few thunderstorms. Weather was not a factor. We started pre-dawn and summited around 11:00. To me the crux was the awkward chimney/slot below the black face. This ascent was truly in another era - there were no other parties on the lower or upper Exum that day and one party as I recall on O-S. Climbers at the Alpine Club Ranch included Chouinard, Jim Donini and Kim Schmitz.

I repeated the complete Exum in 1986, this year we were descending O-S as a thunderstorm was building but made it back safely to lower saddle.
