Well, I joined Chris after he fixed the first 3 pitches of Virginia. Unfortunately, at the top of P6 on the Trip he dropped our ledge! So, we climbed to seven to stand, then stood at 9 the next night, then blasted to the top. A totally different feeling than any other El Cap route to date. No ledge is no fun. But, I like the route! Offset aliens rule.

We started up on 10/29, climbed for two days (pitch a day). Came down to rock Halloween. Then back up for 2 pitches a day to the top. Topped out in a big rain dump. Great route! Turned 30 on the route.

First known ascent after the cleaning by the American Choppers. Thanks so much guys for a job well done. Route was in great shape, got to place our own heads, beaks and rurp. Grade stays the same though, its still just Zodiak. Nothing more, nothing less.

Uneventful and fun. Amazing views, better views than from the Nose in my opinion. Cool top out with the whole leaving the bags, free climbing thing. Ran out of food, slept, found huge feasts at TTrip and ZM. YEAH!

Had fun on this route with Darren. Hooked up with the Horse Chute boys for the top out from Thanksgiving ledge. Fun fun.

A great route. The first three days were kind of scary and after the hard climbing and just being gripped for 3 days, we took a rest day. That was cool. Then on day 6 I guess we had 1/2 a rain day. Also kind of exciting. I got to do all the big pendos on the route (and the small ones too) which means poor Tim had to do lots of lower outs. Hard to say that there was one highlight to this route, but Ammon, Ivo and the Hubers little campout at the footstool was a trip to watch, plus Ammon and Ivo SENDING IT on the PO right next to us in 33 hours was way cool.

Well, we probably got the last ascent of this route because the next day a huge rockfall came down directly on the route. People on Central Pillar were in the side of the rockfall and there were some injuries, but Stoners was the main line. We climbed both the traditional start and the 11c varation. SICK SICK SICK. Thank god for twin ropes.

Well, I repeated this route and I found it a little less "magical" than the first time. We took a portaledge and that was pretty nice. I think the Nose is an awesome route if you are going to free or french-free most of it, but if you have your wall boots on it is not so great. So boost your free climbing level and go for it in rock shoes. You'll have a better time.
