Frick, Frack, Coming of Age, and Doo Doo Man were all cool leads on excellent rock. Required a variety of techniques.

Doo Doo Man requires a .5 camalot, and Coming of Age requires a smaller cam or a nut to protect mid route, both with longer runners (under roof placements)

strenuous placing gear (although gear is solid) - hard for grade

fun climb - not 10a. thin and reachy in places. bring cam to protect roofy feature up top (think I used a purple camalot...).

I agree with other post -- very sharp in places and harder than grade. Bring some cord to back up nest on anchors. Guide describes that old hangers and anchors were going to be improved 20 years ago - still there. Looks like original webbing... :)

can't imagine ever climbing The Source (5.13), but all the rest of these are cool and well-bolted. location makes them easy additions when you are on way out of the area, or for when the weather is questionable and you want to be next to your moped.

so, this was the first climb I did at Stone - always start my season with this one as it is a cool climb. it is heavy on the forearms, with an interesting start that has you leaning back pretty hard before the first bolt (a lot of exposure couple with the possiblity of landing on your back before bouncing off the starting ledge). if you are an anxious leader, there is a slot one could place a small cam in before the bolt, or I guess you could endure the snickers and stick clip... :) Another tip -- look at the bolt placement on the lip of the "room" before you are in it. it can be hard to see from within, and is an exciting clip even if you know where it is.
