The gear gets thin at the top. I had to down-climb a section after it moves out onto the face, well above my last piece, before finding a horizontal I could get a placement in. I've never been so scared. It was a great climb!

This lead scared the crap out of me. I was seconds away from taking a huge whipper, when I had the sense to downclimb to a good ledge, where I found a pocket I could get an alien in (there's a stretch toward the top where the pro is pretty thin). Definitely one I'm proud of.

This was the variation to the Ant Killer Belay. That traverse is pretty freaky! Previously TR'd C Direct...through the roof, 1 pitch to the top...had no problem on anything but the damned squeeze chimney at the top.
