5 out of 5 stars Birthday top out of this super fun route.

My buddy David and I climbed this on our second try. Weather and lack of something held us back the first time. There was a lot of fixed gear so we didn't have to use the hammers. Steep hauling. Fun climbing. Getting off the summit was the crux. But carrying all our stuff from the base when we bailed was 10x worse!!

4 out of 5 stars Fun on Skull Queen

My buddy David and I drove in from LA, climbed to Dinner Ledge, then fixed a couple pitches and spent the night on DL. We pushed to the top and rapped the South Face and spent another night on DL. Very warm weather and lack of water killed me on this one. Hydration issues and ascending our free hanging 8.2 mm rope over the sharp Kor roof edge (duct tape!) were the crux. Fun!

5 out of 5 stars Steep

My buddy David and I climbed this steep route. We fixed two, then pushed to top the next day. Hawks were the key. Both hand placed and hammered. Two of each next time. Also placed the smallest cams multiple times. Blue and Black Aliens 2 ea. Hybrids two ea. Placed some small offset nuts too. Fun route. Good times.

Thanks to Cobbledik, below, for all the cool video of this route. :)

4 out of 5 stars Openanded sloapers.

Not many holds on this one. More about getting your body to the side of the chalked up feature. Kinda pumpy. Fun.

5 out of 5 stars Nice route.

Long, pumpy, fun! Do it! Hard moves after second bolt. Lots of moves after that then some more hard moves to the chains. Make use of the resting jugs and get the send! Thanks Louie for this one.

3 out of 5 stars The hardest 10b in the world! lol

Feels like hanging from a door jamb with one hand while mantling your foot up to your chest! But maybe I was doing it wrong! The guy said "most people do the 10a and TR the 10b." DOH. I already had a draw on it so no backing down. :( Fun anyway. Definitely not a warm up. I pumped out just brushing the crux holds.

4 out of 5 stars Get your game face on!

This is not your typical 5.8 warm up. You need to to surmount three small roofs to get to the chains. Fortunately they are well protected. :) Spicy for an 8. Short 35m rope gets you up and down.

4 out of 5 stars The best warm up ever.

I do this traverse almost every time out. I start just after the crux opening BP. Then climb way up high and all the way to the end, where a crack takes you up to the ridge. Then down climb the crack and all the way back to the left. Doing the opening BP backwards, down-mantling, then mantling and doing the BP in the normal way. This way I get to start easy and finish hard. So good.

For extra fun, up and down climb every crack on the wall, while on the traverse. All are moderately easy and worth the effort. You do get way off the deck so you should be comfortable with that. Don't fall. :)

4 out of 5 stars Loose and dirty.

Cool moves for sure. Mantle out to finish. I backed up the two bolts with the large hex way back. That gave me the courage to do the mantle. :) 4 star Stoney pt rating. Unfortunately the buckets will disappear and the route will get hard! Haha.
