Biff on Mt Bogart

Average Rating = 3.20/5 Biff on Mt Bogart

Here I am climbing Mount Bogart. at 10300ft it is the second highest peak in the Kananskis area of the Canadian Rockies. It is a semi-technical scramble, but at some places like this it was easier to go straight up. at around 9500 feet and 5 hours tech

Average Rating = 3.25/5 atg200 in full-on winter conditions, Fletcher Mountain

atg200 climbing Fletcher Mountain 13,951' in Colorado. The ascent was during a blizzard in January of 2001. Very deep snow made most of the climb character buildingly exhausting.

High on the Jamapa Glacier

Average Rating = 2.83/5 High on the Jamapa Glacier

View of the Jamapa Glacier on Pico de Orizaba taken from near the crater rim. The red peak below is the Sarcofogo. The photo was taken in March in very dry icy conditions-the glacier was suncupped ice with very little snow.

This is Pico de Orizaba from the road leading to the refugio from Tlachichuca. Our driver stopped several times to let us out and take pictures.

Route on El Reventador

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Route on El Reventador

Not a typical climb. Most of the route on El Reventador is bushwhacking through jungle like this - sharpen your machetes!

Andrew exhausted on Cotopaxi

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Andrew exhausted on Cotopaxi

Me catching a quick nap near the summit of Cotopaxi in Ecuador shortly before a storm moved in. You can just barely see Antisana off in the distance.

Graves at the base of Chimborazo

Average Rating = 3.71/5 Graves at the base of Chimborazo

If there was any doubt that Chimborazo was serious, they were dispelled by the graveyard you must walk through to reach the refugio. The normal route basically climbs the ridge on the left skyline.
