About Dead Dog Trail Boulders:

The Dead Dog Boulders is an area that is located in the Trussville athletic complex. There are many variations on these boulders that are waiting to be mapped. Be sure to bring a pad and a good brush to clean off moss. Please post any pictures that you have of this area.
Nearest town or city: Trussville
Directions: This area is located in the Trussville Athletic park. From I-59 take the Deerfoot parkway exit and head away from the church, towards trussville. Take the first right after the bridge (If you are coming north on I-59, Take the exit and go strait across the intersection). Follow this road until you see a sign on your left pointing to the Trussville athletic complex. Take the left turn and follow this road past the tennis courts and up the hill turn right just past the maintenance shed and park around the back. Walk behind the maintenance shed to the obvious trail and head towards the tennis courts. There are three large boulders on you immediate right and if you walk a little further there are more down the hill on your left. There are another few boulders throughout the park that are worth exploring. One of which is on the other side of the parking lot from the maintenance shed, another one is behind the tennis courts. There are more smaller boulder around that I have heard about but never seen.
