About Big Rock:
| Large granite slab rising above the shores of Lake Perris that's long been a popular area to introduce beginners to the sport. Mostly bolted slab routes from 5.0 to 5.11+, although most are 5.10 and under. This is a very popular area, especially on the weekends, so plan accordingly. Climbing season runs fall-spring, with summer being far too hot and unpleasant. |

| Directions: | Ramona Expressway to a turn onto Bernasconi Rd. Follow this to a parking area ($8 or a $64 dollar ticket). Follow the paved bike path west 5-10 minutes to the rock. |
