Description:

More interesting and considerably more difficult than ...Practice Climb #1. This route ascends an open face to an anchor just under a roof. Terrain around the first bolt is solid 5.8. The lower part of the main face looks bare, but the right-facing corner with big scooped holds is solid 5.8. Clipping bolts #2 and 3 is tough, as you have to reach over your shoulder. Crux (feels 5.9ish) is just above bolt 3; a transition back onto the main face.

4 out of 5 stars Fun

I know this route as "Practice Climb #2". Fun route, reminded me of climbing in Thailand.

3 out of 5 stars ascent note

a fun climb! lots of bird crap on the route, but otherwise pretty nice. good moves and really cool/funky rock formation.

2 out of 5 stars This route does have a name

I bolted this route in the early 90's, maybe 91 but I don't recall for sure. The route is named Enter Sandman. Yes, I was a metalhead, and the rough sandy nature of the rock leaves you sand in your eyes and other orifices.

I'd always planned the route to go out the roof, but never managed to pull the moves on tr, so never finished bolting it. I have no doubt the roof will go.
