3 out of 5 stars A little polished

in a squeaky sort of way makes liebacking a chore, stick to the OW technique.

4 out of 5 stars good wide practice

The direct start has good clean, 5.10 liebacking and/or fingers (this might be part of the 1st pitch of Hardly Pinnacle?). The top was excellent for practicing offwidth: chicken wings, hand stacks, and hand-fist stacks for me. Longer than 60m rope needed to TR (done after rappelling down from Little John Right)

4 out of 5 stars Planned on three pitches...

...But a mother bear started getting into our bag at the base when we were on the first pitch. So we bailed after one to get our stuff out of there. The first pitch was real exciting for me!

4 out of 5 stars Grunnnnttt!

Tough little bugger. I could have used a #4 cam for sure. But for a first climb on the base of El Cap I wouldn't have it any other way. ON site with some resting on big holds.
