Honeycomb Spire
About Honeycomb Spire:
Part of the Southern Rim of Castlewood. From the Visitor Ctr at the east entrance, park at the 1st lot on your right. Follow any trail to the east which will adjoin to the rim trail. Take the trail north / northeast (left) till you pass the overlook. From the overlook move along the rim edge and look for a triangular rock with a bolt on the top. The spire alone is certainly not worth a visit to Castlewood, but the short approach makes for a quick fix to your climbing needs. |
