About South Fork Clearwater:

There are several areas to climb on the South Fork of the Clearwater, all fairly close together. Lightning Dome, Road Warrior Area, Upstream Rocks, and Rolling Stone Wall. There is also a huge shark fin that sticks out of the surrounding mountains that appears to be quite a hike to get to. This area doesn't have a lot of traffic but is a great place to climb and develop new routes if inclined. The established ethic here is to place bolts on lead only, not on rappel. There is a small guide to this area that can probably be obtained through the University of Idaho Outdoor Program, the WSU Alpine Club, or Hyperspud Sports in Moscow.
