Description:

Tarzan is the first route you will see on Shiprock. It is on the face that is perpendicular to the river.Tarzan is one of the easiest climbs in the park, a great place to take a beginner climber, or to go for a warmup. Big jug haul.

4 out of 5 stars First Iowa Climb

This was my first outdoor Iowa climb. There are a lot of options for holds and would be an awesome place to learn how to lead climb. It rained a few days prior to our trip so some of the holds were kinda muddy but nothing too bad. Definitely gonna plan a trip back to try some of the other routes when its less wet.
