About Rocks State Park:
| Knobby schist similar to Carderock. 135' high. Most routes 75' or less. One of the few free-standing pinnacles on the east coast is found here. Beginner through expert trad leads and topropes. The cliffs across Deer Creek from the park are on PRIVATE property. [Note: I am not indicating a quantity of climbs here; the website appears to want to show 805. Must be a glitch.] Bouldering here is alot of fun, there are problems here that range from extreemly difficult to a beginner's first climb. If you decide to visit, contact some locals to show you some problems and to show you the good spots to climb. |
