About SandStone Quarry:

Sandstone Quarry is the last stop for sport climbers on the loop road. It is here that you can find a huge concentration of sport lines along with the toughest sport line in Red Rocks. However, along with some awesome sport climbing, this area is also home to a fair amount of trad cragging, most of it overlooked by the trad climbers who come to climb here. This area is among the biggest in Red Rocks and is defintely worth exploring.

Access: This area can be accessed via the loop road or via Calico Basin with a little hiking.

When to climb: The area in general is south and west facing, but due to the nature of the walls in the area, you can find shade most of the day.

Classics: Running Man, Stratocaster Direct, Beyond Reason, Keep Your Powder Dry, Sunsplash.

Nearest town or city: Red Rock
Directions: The third pullout on the loop. Approaches vary for each wall.
