About Aviator Wall:
The Aviator Wall is a north to south trending ridge of aplite or dike material on the north side of the main road. The ridge that forms the Aviator Wall tilts downhill to the east and thus the west face gently overhangs. The wall is roughly 60 feet high. |
Approach: | From the parkikng area for the Main area/Dali camp walk up main road (west) toward Christmas Tree Pass for ~200 yards. At this point a large dark serrated ridge can be seen to the north, just east of the wash that runs toward Spirit Mountain. This is the Aviator Wall. A rough climbers trail winds up the slope and along the west side of the crag. |
