About Birdsboro:
| Birdsboro quarry is a neat little place to climb if you like short sport routes. The approach is an easy ten minute walk from your car. Its a popular area with a fairely extensive history. On any day with nice weather you will usually find a few parties using the area along with hikers. The difficulties range through the whole spectrum from easy to very hard making it a place where beginners and experts alike can find a challenge. The rock quality varies from place to place and helmets are recommended. |

| Directions: | NOTE: All the climbing is relatively consolidated within a close proximity. There are however two different entrances from which to approach the climbing area depending on where you are coming from.
From the north: Drive south on PA Rt.82 until the road dead-ends, park in the dirt lot, and hike to the climbing area by following trail uphill to the right marked by a red climbing sign after crossing second stream via cable bridge. From the south: Drive north on PA Rt.82 until it dead-ends at a yellow gate. Parallel park along road. Hike past gate following road along creek. Proceed straight onto trail marked by by red climbing sign to climbing area. |

| Access Issues: | With the bridges out, from north entrance find cocalico road, follow it until you come to a T intersection where you will see buckhollow road, make a left, stop sign make a left until you see the gates and park. approx 20 min walk in. Please respect the Haines and Kibblehouse "No Trespassing" signs. Do not use the railroad tracks as a means to avoid crossing Hay Creek. By using the railroad tracks your are trespassing on private property and jeopardizing access for all climbers. |
