About Chickies Rock:

Converted into a County Park, Chickies Rock is one of the highest (150ft), largest, easily accessable climbing spots is Central PA. The area is a big attration for tourists so be careful of falling rocks. The rock itself is Lower Cambrian Chickies Quartzite. An awesome place to climb on a sunny day with a great view over the river! A trad climbers paradise-- thats what they tell me anyway.
Nearest town or city: Marietta
Directions: Hopefully the map helps. Marietta/Columbia exit of Rt. 30. Then follow Rt. 441 West up large (very large) hill. Parking is either at the top of the rock on the left, or at the bottom of the other side of the hill on the left. If you toprope, park above. If you lead, park below. Walk is only a minute or two, paths are clear.
