Well anynomous why don't you get ahold of the Access Fund and organize a way to help out at the Red. Don't talk about how bad something is if you don't want to fix it.

Rattlesnake is top rope only, easy routes, and often crowded, but the access is a walk in the park (literally). If you want easy TR go to Buffalo Crag. There are some 10s and 11s at Nemo for sport, but nothing spectacular, plus alot of trad. Lion'shead has the best reputation for good sport climbing as far as I know. If you want some good bouldering go to the Niagra Glen. Check the routes section for more. [ This Message was edited by: kriso9tails on 2001-09-18 16:55 ]

Of cource Kris he did ask for the Toronto Area. Buffalo Crag or Kelso are your closest bets for outdoor, Rockheads has a great rep for an indoor gym.

I think that there is another all Cnd. site at www.gripped.com but they don't have a "chat" function, nor do people seem to hook up with climbing partners via that site...so this is the best one out there as far as that goes...But I agree, there needs to be more Cdn. content: I'll be telling my friends to sign-up!

Gripped is based of the magazine of the same name. It doesn't have a chat, but it does havea bulletin board function. Ther tends to be a lot of annoymous posting , and slag talk though.

Joe Rockheads is the worst climbing gym in the universe! The gym is crowded with rude climbers, the routes are nothing special, the space is used awfully... It's also the most expensive gym, don't go to Rockheads. Christian

**waves** Hello there! Take it easy on me, this is my first posting. I'll be sure to spread the word to our climbing club...it's a new club that works on recruiting new climbing junkies. From what I have seen, there is a pretty large climbing community in Toronto. I mean, they have 3 gyms alone in the downtown area - Rockheads, TCA, and Oasis. I guess people just need to let their friends know. Spread the word everyone! Happy climbing, ~Vivian

Take off eh hozer! My friends, Canada is approaching its finest hour, assimilation of the Americans will begin as soon as Canussia is established, combining the nations of Canada, Russia, and whoever else wants to join in an effort to say NO to free trade with the Americans. Soon the world will not only say sweet and fukineh when the here the word Canada, but they will tremble in fear!! Sorry, I'm fantasizing about world domination again. Don't worry Americans, If we where out to get you we would be nuked by now. Moving on......... gather in Calgary my friends (Calgary Climbing Center, 8:00 Tuesday Dec. 18), for the time for revolution is on the horizon! Or you can just spread the word of this web site and that there is a lunatic who is rambling on about crude politics. [ This Message was edited by: fukineh on 2002-12-15 00:25 ]

Man, that guy who just posted is sending out some wacky vibes. No wait, that guy is cool, and by cool, I mean totally sweet! For the makings of a modest individual check out the profile of one one and only out of the many one and only true Canadians, Fukineh. Seriously though, in proportion to the population of Americans, I think there are quite a few Canuks here. However, there is of course no harm in making it twice a few more.

I am from Vancouver. There are great areas for sport climbing or for any other "type" of climbing. During the Spring/Summer/Fall we usually climb one afternoon during the week in Squamish or closer to the city. Weekends we save for alpine routes around. If you need any help or connection to ACC or BCMC club members just place post here. I will give you more info soon about great ski traverses this winter. Thanks.

there's enough of us on here now wse can take over the good ol US of A!!!!! But we shall only do good...first things first. Remove all those IDIOTS in the beer brewing industry throw them to the lions and install a new breed of brew master. ure blooded Canuck. If there's even a slight hint of US cross breeding then they're out!! this is the only way that we're going to be able to get rid of the CRAP that is coming north of the border in those 6/12/24 packs. ruining the good name of the canadian beer bastards!!!!

They are already training gophers in Saskatchewan for an all out assault. They'll never expect the gophers.

To the Capetonian that posted a message on 18 Dec (move from CT to TO): The ice climbing's mostly out west (I think). I've only recently moved here from JHB so I may be mistaken. It's been cold recently in TO, but not quite igloo weather as Anonomous posted on 1 Jan. Southern Ontario has Escarpment Country and you're going to love that! Good luck with the move. The sun... there's a bit of that here too, so don't fret about leaving Cape Town!

Count this PROUD Canadian in! I have proudly sewn my country's flag on my backpack, stuck it on my car, tacked a 6 foot (sorry, I meant aboot 1.8 metres)flag on my wall, and even have a couple inked into my flesh! Ring that bell, shout for joy, CANADA'S DAY IS HERE TO STAY!

Hey, let's fix that little government problem by forming a Climber's Party of Canada. I wouldn't mind bolting holds up on the House of Commons...
