is that one of the Trinities? Looks like it could be the left one, although the face of the rock looks a bit more featured than I remember seeing on any of them.

I had fun, guys. A nice and relaxing Saturday. Sorry about the Rotties-on-meth. I have no idea why they were so wound up. Paul, Cap'n tells me he's very disappointed that you wouldn't twaddle with his leather cherrio. I know, I know...the smell of dog sphincter and a fresh bowl of chili just don't mix. I apologize profusely. Other than that, it was great to finally meet Baja Java and the imfamous Camhead. Reno, good eatin. That was an excellent meal topped off with a nice stogie -- not much more a man can ask for around a campfire. Thanks for puttin up with us. We'll have to do it again some time soon. I'll even join you for the climbing next time. Promise.

No need to apologize for the dogs, Ed. I actually prefer to see dogs that are active, running and playing, and havingt fun rather than dogs that are just lumps of breathing fur. :)

T'was my pleasure to make the chili. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and while I certainly regretted eating that 3rd bowl the next morning, it sure did fill my belly. Thanks to you for the Partagas. Smooth stogie, bud.

I'm going to hold you to that!

Baja_java and Camhead: Thanks for being the rope guns, being patient as I did my best impression of a cow on roller skates, and for all the campfire chat. His Royal Highness, Emporer Sean, I'll see ya in a few weeks for JT rock. Camhead, we're doing the Kor-Ingalls in December.

Good times.

CAMHEAD GOT NEKKID AT MY HOUSE!!!!!!

As did baja_java.

Heehee. Told you I'd post that.

No, tequila was not involved. I was just letting a couple weary travelers use my shower. The only being to witness the skin shows was our tortoise George, who is temporarily living in the bathroom while we get his terrarium set up, but he's half-blind and not much of a talker.

Anyway, good times were had by all. Here's a few more pics (I wish I had more):

More of Left Trinity.

camhead on a V5 (?) at the Draw. I believe this is the very moment where Paul's cooter failed him. He sent anyway.

We also ran into Jules, who lives in Flag. She and Paul worked this V5 thing. I don't remember who sent

http://i59.photobucket.com/...aw92506/IMGP9940.jpg

Oh, and here's my cat getting lit on catnip. Why? Just because he's cute.

Next weekend, I dunno. Jacks? I haven't clipped a bolt in a while, and after my high-gravity stab at Middle Trinity, I could use the ego boost, and 'sides, it's my birthday ;)

nice photos, hillary!

and hey, you did good, jeff, what with the adventure route-finding on that one lead at the Overlook. good job! and thanks again for climbing with me, and for the good company, everyone. whatever you say about the plasty house, hillary, alex, the hot shower is beautiful. all that exquisite hot water. the perfectly tilted showerhead. the excellent hues of white and off-white all around. i've never ever seen better. comes with a bathroom-mate turtle even!

the Forks, what a beautiful little canyon, with all those pretty cracks, those badass cracks. the full-blown all-out climbing was great, paul. trad, sport, bouldering, off-roads vehicle testing, wood chopping, hole digging on account of that good chili, haha, everything that does a climbing body good. hey, my hands got destroyed the worst by the bouldering yesterday. does that mean bouldering is actually more badass than sport? or even trad?? hmmmmmmmm! like, shudder!!

yeah, JTree in a few weeks, and if anyone else like to also, the more the funner. and the Creek too. might join you guys out there. again, very nice to meet everyone, and the furry ones, and the hard-shelled one. see you all out on the rocks again soon

sean

PS there's some talk of Tahquitz for this weekend. finally checking out NJC would be cool too. will know for sure in couple days

Hey Evra-biddy!

I had a great time climbing with y'all. Reno is a better chili chef than I had ever expected, BajaJava is a kickass solid traddie, Alex kicksass except for that aversion to IPA's, and Climbsomething IS as HotTTTT as rumored.

Those photo's of the Trinity's are amazing. I haven't gotten the chance to see them from above the ground, we had to down climb, and bail out, due to the time(about to get locked in the gate). I suppose that's what we get for being out there from 10 in the morning to 430. I would totally love to be belay slave, for an afternoon, and try my luck on those gorgeous lines. If anyone needs a belay slave at the overlook, let me know. I can also lead up to about a 9+ fairly comfortably, and would be happy to set up a line or two, myself.

Just so you know, if you're late getting out of the Overlook, you can still get through the gate. Sunday, we were out of there around 5:30p, and the exit gate is closed, but not locked. Reach underneath the post, and the padlock should still be open. Swing the gate free, drive through, and close it behind you. If you're the last car through, lock the padlock.

These were the instructions on a post-it note on my car by the park ranger, anyway. Worked fine on Sunday.

WELL HELLO THERE!!! :P

ferret, I think I can play next Monday. I mean it this time. I know, I have been a flaky internet would-be partner, but I like the Trinities too, despite the romping they administer. If we have extra people to handle the belay end(s), I can take your photo too!

reno, them's some REALLY CUTE DOGGIES!

Rock on, I can talk to a buddy of mine and see if he would like to join us on Monday. What time are you looking to get out there? I'm pretty open with my schedule, currantly, so anytime works for me. I am looking forward to getting spanked by those cracks, haven't been able to get on them, yet. i suppose it might help if I was leading anything above a 9+, then again, I just started leading trad, period:-p. Thanks for the hook up Climbsomething, looking forward to meeting up with you on Monday. I'm gonna pm you my cell phone number, so we can work out the logistics. Talk to ya soon.

Yeah, sometimes its hard to get into the group who already know each other, but I apologize for not being more welcoming to a couple of you new guys who have posted. It's not intentional -- I just really haven't climbed much in the last year and have bloated way out of shape, so I'm really not comfortable showing anyone the ropes at this point. I used to invite n00bs along any time I was heading out to climb (which was every weekend) but it's not an option for me at this point.

My apologies, and a belated "welcome". There are plenty of good folks around these parts to hook up with to climb -- keep posting up and as people get more familiar with you, you're bound to make plans with someone eventually.

Ed

i didn't know anyone either except climbing once before with reno. i just showed up where some people said they'd be and lo and behold, they were there. there were stuff you had to do though, to be allowed to climb. first i had to start smoking. then this girl stomped on a turtle and broke open its shell and said i had to eat the meat, like raw. someone also demanded i renounce the full body flavor of IPA. that was when couple others said, hey, that's not what they signed up for! then a fight broke out. it was horrible. consider yourself lucky!!

whatever you can throw at me cant be as bad as basic training was... just spent 4 years in the army..

see, normally you are correct about virgins. Unfortunatly for you, rock gods are a different breed, virgins aren't a particualr bother to them. They have all decided that the clinging that occurs because of the virginity just isn't worth the actuall virgin itself. And if you are looking for a partner, I'd totally be down, what are ya interested in, mainly? Bouldering, sport? let me know what you would be interseted in going to do, and when. Lata bro.
