I also think if you are making so many loaves, making one more wouldn't hurt at all. So you should. I will kindly take it off your hands.

I tell ewe what, maybe if I'm in a good mood I'll make a batch and bring it to Vegas.

I think we can arrange a tasting party. I know a few other volunteers.

In all honesty, I really want to try the recipe. I am used to challah made with water, not milk, and veg oil (so it would be kosher to serve it even if the meal involved meat dishes). not that i care one whit about it, but I learned the recipe from grandma, and she learned it from her mom, and well... that's how they did it.

But everything tastes better with butter! (almost! I said almost)

Overdue weak-end update:

I am so weke, I can't even handle staying up late anymore.

Friday night was a friend's birthday, her husband threw a big party at a restaurant, with a private dance floor, DJ, and all. It was pretty awesome, even though I alway feel a bit inadequate at those kinds of parties. But anyway, Heffe was in a dancing mode, and it was really fun. But we didn't get home until well past midnight.

Saturday night was Ed's dinner party. Tons of fun, great company, lots of alcohol, Cards Against Humanity game that went well past midnight... I think it was after 1 a.m. when we finally headed home.

And somehow both Saturday and Sunday I got up earlier than I should have. Now it's time to work, and I am ready for a nap. I can't handle these late nights anymore! Like I said, very weke.

Travel report:

Got up before 5am to get to the Bozeman airport. Once on the plane we sat there for about two hours while they dealt with the mechanical issue of a "sticky button" (probably more technical than that, but that was their story).

By the time we arrived in SLC our flight to JFK was already in the air. They rebooked us to go through Minneapolis instead, would get back to Toronto around the same time.

Had to get right on the flight from SLC to MSP. Our luggage wasn't going to make it, but I could cope with that. Once settled on the plane a woman fainted. They looked for a doctor, gave her some oxygen and she left the plane.

That was okay, we had a two hour layover at MSP. Ate some Quiznos, recharged the computer. They were just calling us on, I went ahead for pre boarding (I decided to use the cane through the airports)....oops! Cancelled!

So we stayed over night in Minneapolis, saw Nathan's mom, older sister and our nieces. Asleep by 9pm.

Get on the flight this morning, preboarding. Sat waiting for Nathan and waited and waited and waited...he finally shows up and I guess we weren't properly rebooked and they didn't really know we were getting on that flight. Fortunately the plane was only 3/4 full so we stayed.

Back in Toronto now. Guess our bags still went to JFK. They were put on a flight this morning to Toronto so we decided to wait 30-40 min instead of dealing with tracking down our bags later.

Travel is fun!

Ugh! I hope you used up all the gerk-allotted travel snafus for the season, and we all are now free and clear to fly everywhere without delays...

Angelic I could hope, right?

Glad to hear you made it home, and hopefully the bags will get there soon, too.

Getting old sucks. I'll still stay up late if I know I can sleep in but my body wakes up early anyway, no longer can I sleep like a teenager. Plus I have to let the chickens out around sunrise. Seriously considering the $400 automatics chicken coop door opener.

Good wekend on the climbing front. Friday in the gym I smashed through a ceiling and reached my training goal for December, if not exceeding. Still a few weeks left to crush it. No numbers since the gym duzznt count but I'm pretty psyched.

Outside Saturday I felt like I was floating climbs that would have been impossible. Didn't take or fall or hang once on grades I thought I'd never be able to touch. Training werks!!! And the pup is a phenomenal crag pup. Every one loves her.

Stumpy arm now has a bicep so that's weird. And I'm getting some sort of lump/bone spur from climbing so much that I need to get my socket re fit. Oops.

Weke end report ...

Went n00b-rangling in Little Kalymnos ... despite teh invite, jak and c-ya did not show up.

The Brit was in town, and basically hadn't climbed since Arapiles in early April ... and we dragged out AB's corpse, as well as a couple others.

The traverse over the water was wet and slick and gross, but surprisingly nobody fell in. Mostly I put up ropes on various things, then got belays on some harder stuff. Managed to onsight Letterbox, barely, and mostly because AB's corpse was belaying me and he had onsighted it years ago (back before he died). It was ugly, involved a lot of very sharp and freezing cold holds. Got on teh gnu rowt up left of Luscious at Mt. Gorgeous; it's still a little chossy, but has okay climbing. Kind of a cool dyno at the last bolt.

We are pet-sitting a guest cat these past two weeks. A really sweet, friendly and polite kitty, but she likes to have proper schedule observed. So on those two weekend days, she waited until 8 a.m., and then she was like, come on now, you usually feed me at 6, how long do I have to wait to get some food around here? There is only so much of polite batting with a furry white paw on my nose that I can take, before it seems like getting up is a worthwhile idea.

Yeah, sleeping in is as foreign and distant to me as Zima and 311 by this point. It's not because I've gotten more responsible– I really haven't– but my body just doesn't need it. Plus, the achy AI back is a natural alarm clock. Starts hurting every morning at 630.

Whoo! Did my hardest yet bouldering on site! I have until February for the comp by my goal going in was to be able to onsite some (not all OBVI) V4. Did my first last night so I'm feeling good about having 6.5 weeks to keep working at it. I've been taking a training/fitness for climbing class at my gym the last 8 weeks and that ends Thursday so it'll free me up to focus on bouldering.

I still kinda hate it though.

Bouldering is good for you though. It's been forever since I've done anything graded, but last time I did I think I was maxing out at V4.
