DAMN!!! 17 pages?!!!!! I'll be back once I catch up!!!

'Sup, Mac-Daddy? How's things?

Here's the short version:

All the cool people, and Sharpie too, are going to Ouray. We're going to climb ice, drink top-shelf tequila, and "hang-out" at Orvis.

You're going to join us.

Any questions?

Dude!!

how was Cho Oyu?

Cho Oyu is an awesome mountain. I only got to basecamp, because after Uncle Sam said I owed him a ton of money for emptying a savings and securities account I couldnt come up with the rest of the money to do the climb. Seeing as I had the airline tickets and would lose the downpayment I went as a tourist instead of a climber!! That being said the trip was awesome. Seen the Great Wall, Tianamin Square, The Forbidden City, the Potala Palace, numerous monastaries and Everest from the north side!!

Do we have a list of who is doing set up and tear down yet?

As of now:

Sharpie
Redpointron
Mother_Sheep
Reno
Timd + 1
Mr8615 + 1
anykineclimb

In reply to:
Reno, what day would you like to head up the Snake?

Maybe the Wednesday or Thursday before the festival starts. LOT of that decision will depend on avy conditions, snow pack, my general frame of mind, and the presence or absence of a hangover.

Page 14!! I'm in for setup/teardown. Ive gained 25 pounds and need a larger jacket!!!!

Mahalo/Merci/Gracias/Danke Shoen/Graci/Thank You/Much Obliged to all that have offered to help with the set up and tear down.

I've offered up the list of folks to Erin Eddy from the OIP ("You down with OIP, yeah you know me...") and we've got enough folks.

The first people that signed up are in... If you got a PM from me about it, you're in. You're expected, and I ask you PLEASE to tell me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you can't make it. Otherwise, I'm vouching for you, and I hope you respect that.

To the rest that offered to help... Go climb some ice, and join us later that evening for the three "Ds": Debauchery, Drunkeness, and D-Cup Hooters (rumor has it that Mother_Sheep is giving out lap dances so she can pay for her trip... I dunno if that's true, but if it is the line starts here.)

Hot damn.... 67 days.

Jim,
If you can make it to KC, I am driving out. More than welcome
to take the co-pilot's chair. Plenty of room in the Saab and
she flies fast and eager when the mountains beckon.

Petzl has a pretty sweet video on their site from last year. I took some footage of some rc.commies, including RPR's comp run, that was supposed to get edited. *cough-Zozo-cough*...

... .....

Now I won't be able to sleep!

I'd totally love to. My main concern is I have a manditory winter staff training if I'm going to be instructing ice courses this year....Let me talk to some people...if i can get out of that I will.

I'll be in touch, i mean it.

Thanks so much for the offer!

So... the "intro to ice" clinics are all at the same time (10 am Jan. 15). isn't this kind of late in the festival to be having a beginner clinic?
we're planning on heading out the 16th, which means driving out of ouray on the 15th ... does anyone know if there are any clinics earlier, or what?

wow, i totally missed that whole list of classes, the only ones i saw were listed for the 15th .... d'oh  i think we're planning on getting there around the 11th (12th? i can't remember exactly, it's a little too early for my brain to function properly right now) but any of the intro classes on the 13th would work.

anyone have any recommendations as far as which one to take? intro. to ice vs. easy ice?
