I got the clinics I wanted. I started right at 9:00 MST and some were sold out within 10 min. I hope they're worth it.

Alrighty, I've read all 18 pages and I'm ready for my first post... Thanks for psyching me up for my first ice fest! I'll have to admit the pictures are exciting but quite intimidating at the same time. Especially compared to my 40' frozen tree in my back yard. That's about the best we can do in lower Michigan! My friend and I are looking forward to meeting you guys, climbing with everyone, and seeing all there is to see at the Fest. Did I mention partying? :)

Anyone making it out that is in need of a partner/ more partners? I don't lead much yet, still working on getting a rack of screws...but I can follow up to m7ish and WI 4+/5. I'm really trying to make it out, but I'm a little hesitant as I don't really have anyone to meet up with. Also, anyone looking for people to split a room with? Thanks guys, hope to hear from somebody.... Jim

In reply to: Clinics not on the list: Naked dry tooling steve, steve, steve... jeff, aaron and i have all learned the hard way...and so must you. there will never be a clinic on naked dry tooling... it's simply a pass/fail thing: can you work yourself in and out of a figure four without skewering the beans and frank with your heel spur? you can step up to the plate if you think you've got what it takes, but you have to ask yourself, "do i feel lucky?" well, do you, punk? r.r. p.s. [something] we've got a bleeder [/something]

Anyone want to car pool? We're (two of us) are flying into Denver on either the 6th or th 7th, but we'll be hanging out with some friends in North Glenn till Monday. So, we'd like to head down to Ouray on the morning of the 9th. We fly back home on the evening on the 16th (Monday). If we can find someone that has a car we'll be happy to pay for all the gas. Second option would be to team up with some others and split the cost of a rental and gas. Any takers?

In reply to: The US Food and Drug Administration recommends a daily dose of thread bump, and here's your bump. jeffy...i think this thread is on life support. it needs some reno pre-hospital care. the last two years were brimming with sheep innuendo, tasers, and orvis ring toss.  8^) i'm trying (see my last post) but we may need to get the cart and call a code.... we don't want donini to think we're poseurs, do we? regards r.r.

Ron, I'm beginning to think that 'cept for you and me and Mother_Sheep, the rest of the folks in this thread are wankers. They just want to hang out with us cool people. Yeah, that's it. Bring your best tequila, people... Jose Cuervo does not... I repeat, DOES NOT qualify as good tequila. Jose Cuervo is the result of a bunch of Mexicans drinking Don Julio and pissing into a bottle. For the newbies that might be female.... there will be a topless indoor drytooling comp. Contact me or Redpointron for details on how to enter. For you men... there will be no nekkidness at all. End of story. Ah... forgot about Orvis. Serious note, y'all: Orvis Hot Springs is the bomb... all natural mineral hot springs will ease your aches in no time and leave you feeling like a lobster. Or a N'awlin's Crawfish, if you prefer. And clothing is optional at Orvis. :D

In reply to: sharpie, are you gonna touch this one? Do not let Sharpie touch the bottle of tequila if he's in any sort of proximity to a fire. He's been known to throw nearly full bottles of $100 tequila on the campfire.

awwww, comeon Ron! bring your little red wagon or a fire extinguisher. we could move it to the canyon but the combination of the water spraying at night and silmutaneous melting of the falls would not be a good idea...
