In reply to: In reply to: Be sure to bring a camelbak... sharpie, are you gonna touch this one? r.r. I just think it's funny that the guy in Iraq is talking about bringing a camelbak... Do you have a plan to get it through customs?
In reply to: In reply to: sharpie, are you gonna touch this one? Do not let Sharpie touch the bottle of tequila if he's in any sort of proximity to a fire. He's been known to throw nearly full bottles of $100 tequila on the campfire. Let me first say that yes, it is true, I poured a litre of 1921 Reserva Especial on a camp fire. BUT…let me add that I was operating on the brink of exhaustion—after first hiking 10 miles and 2,500 vertical feet at more than 2-miles above sea level, while carrying 7-days worth of gear for two people because my flatlander "friend" could not adjust to the altitude...then spending the next three days climbing every hard, unprotected, blank, horror show, fingernail crimping, wet & overhanging, triple X rated pitch while my "friend" took all the sunny 5.6s and 5.7s. The only relief I had was knowing that the sweet agave was waiting for me each night. But in one terrible dazed and confused moment it was all gone, when I mistakenly grabbed the burgundy lexan tequila Nalgene rathera than the blue lexan water Nalgene—whatever fire was not extinguished by the tequila was put out by my tears.

In reply to: In reply to: Be sure to bring a camelbak... how about a beer bong... i guess we'll okay the beer bong but only if it's used while hanging upside down from the balcany by your heel spurs while we throw snow balls at you  that sounds reasonable, right? r.r.

[In reply to: quote="reno"]Ron, I'm beginning to think that 'cept for you and me and Mother_Sheep, the rest of the folks in this thread are wankers . OUCH! They just want to hang out with us cool people. Yeah, that's it. Bring your best tequila, people... Jose Cuervo does not... I repeat, DOES NOT qualify as good tequila. Jose Cuervo is the result of a bunch of Mexicans drinking Don Julio and pissing into a bottle. For the newbies that might be female.... there will be a topless indoor drytooling comp. Contact me or Redpointron for details on how to enter. For you men... there will be no nekkidness at all. End of story. Ah... forgot about Orvis. Serious note, y'all: Orvis Hot Springs is the bomb... all natural mineral hot springs will ease your aches in no time and leave you feeling like a lobster. Or a N'awlin's Crawfish, if you prefer. And clothing is optional at Orvis. :D

Alright, it is that time to find out all of the last minute details. First, what time do we meet for set-up. Second, what time do we drink beer while attending Tracys' clinic?

So..... I've not got an open room the 11th-14th at the Best Western. Anybody interested let me know. I saw little ice clumps on the bushes near a water fall up Provo Canyon yesterday. Can't wait for more ice. And RPR stop describing my climbing style. My debauchery usually isn't scheduled.

I'll drive even though it's not fun. Must be someone else's car however as I'm not keen on possible chunks. Someone else will have to abstain the next night for my turn at debauchery.

I have a party of 4 leaving that Tuesday from Lancaster, PA. Hopefully we'll be there on time! (Something like a 26 hour drive!) PS: no chunks or caesar salad in my car please!

Well folks, its official. I will NOT be attendint this years ice festival. I'll be starting up paramedic school and really need to focus taking care of that. I can't quite afford to do both at this time. I'm really gonna miss all the tequila/ fat tire/ sambuca fueled debauchery. Oh and the ice climbing too... But I'll be happy once I get done with it and get back to work on the streets. So, I'll just sit here as usual and read all of your adventures.

alright everybody, this year i will be attending my first ouray ice festival!! Now i should be scared out of my mind to attend this thing with your crazy drunks, but for some weird reason i'm not. So far from reading some of this post it looks like i need to bring 1. the beer bong 2. good tequila 3. at the least 2 camelbacks (for all the belguims) 4. My lambchops puppet (for the lonely people there) 5. My langerie (looks like i get to do some lap dances!) Anything i'm forgetting?? Can't wait for the debauchery. add me down, plus what looks like 3 more people, maybe more (gotta pay for the hotel room somehow.) I am VERY psyched for my first time ice climbing, any beta would be greatly appreicated.
