Can you explain the ways to tape your hands when crack climbing? I'm new to cracks, and climbed Lumpy ridge this past weekend. I need a link or something similar to explain hand-taping techniques. thanks in advance!

Correct me if I'm wrong but that link above describes taping for injuries not taping hands for crack climbing.

There are diferent methods of making a "tape glove". The book "Freedom of the Hill" has an illustration of one method. I've noticed that Metolious has started selling tape in climbing shops. Sort of silly really when you can get it cheaper at the drug store. However, the packaging on the Metolious tape has an illustration of another hand taping method.

If your local climbing shop carries Metolious tape, there is a good diagram of how to make a good reusable tape glove on the cardboard label.

Don't know the brand name but the tape I buy on the package has a step by step pitcure on the inside on how to make the glove. It's in a red and black package and I got mine at sport challet.
