I had a good time at the BBQ, hopefully everyone else did as well. We could probably get some more people for another in the future.

Someone had mentioned slacklining near the art museum on Thursdays ( I believe it was hereandthere, but I may be wrong ). I may have to stop in the city sometime this week to pick something up and if I do, I might as well make it for Thursday.

Will there be a gathering this Thursday per chance? If so I might show up. Where would I go to meet up with you guys?

Yeah, thanks snailian for setting up and being grillmaster. Was a great way to capp off a day of climbing. Glad to meet some other slackers too as well as hook a few more on the addiction of slacklining!

Totally random, I know:

On a totally off topic note, other than its relationship to Philly... My wife and I are considering moving there on a business opportunity, and we need leads to figure out the neighborhoods, the layout of the city, and where to browse real estate on the web...

Anyone here have ideas?

If you are looking for slackers / climbers you can check a Phila. climbing group which is on yahoo, there are about 140 members who mostly climb indoors at go vertical and there is a lot of outdoor climbing by group members.
About 15 people were just at Seneca WV for july 4th...the group is at

govertical@yahoogroups

Victor I know most Phila. neighborhoods and I have a close friend who is a local realtor......

Yeah, I know a few people in that group and hit Go Vert from time to time. It's a little bit of a hike into downtown for me now.

We had a good group of people at the slack & bbq in Ridley Park and was checking to see if anyone wanted to do it again (also because I live close to there now and itching to slackline!)

Hello. I also live in Philly and am interested in slacklining. Or anything really. I usually climb at Rockville in Hamilton.

I would be up for another go at ridley park. I don't know if I'd be up for setting up another BBQ though. The longer we wait to set something up, the less predictable/desirable the weather will be.

Does anyone know if there is still a slackline group that gets together on Thursdays outside of the art museum? I never got a chance to make it down there. Night classes always have priority :[

Yeah we still meet out infront of the art museum in the traffic circle on thursdays. But it is kind of hit or miss. A month ago we had 5 lines set up ranging from 50' to 20'. But last week no one was out there. I won't be there this week as I'll be in Cali but if you post on yahoo groups govertical page, most of the people that show up suscribe to it, you will get a good response.
