Shelf was fantastic! By far, my hardest send of the day was picking a route through the gauntlet of drunks in order to get to my tent. Prizes for best story: Dave; so these 4 army guys come over to barter for firewood with beer. Turns out the beer is none other than Coors Light in the new non-breakable bottles. I told them they could have some firewood if they promised to take the beer with them. Josh; I had to pee so I headed off into the bushes to do my business. Just about to let loose when I hear this little voice, "don't pee on me." Seems someone was resting in between puke sessions. Damn, that was close! Kim; I left a plate of food and a bottle of water next to Jeremy's head this morning. Wow, I hope he'll be ok. He really isn't doing well. He couldn't even look at the breakfast burrito without turning green. Gee, I'm sorta worried about him. I don't think he'll be able to get off the bed for a long time. 15 minutes later; I just found Jeremy eating M&M's and watching TV. WTF? Jen; "Why are there 4 people in my 2 person tent?" Yep, chalk up another successful rc.com climbing trip!

In reply to: In reply to: Why... Why did I get so drunk? Gottsta be a story behind this one... How was shelf everybody? I somehow got soooo drunk that I couldn't move without spinning until noon the next day. Getting those M&M's was a monumental task! I almost lost it. Luckily I had Bert the van to take care of me and Family Guy to take my mind off of the pain.

unfortunatley i wasn't able to make it for the whole weekend, but Sat. was gorgeous at Shelf. The Contest Wall was nice. There weren't too many people, and the routes were really good.

Wow... so I lurk and lurk, never post, never call, and never see you guys. The one day that I figure I will see some of you at Shelf, I dont see a single person I know. I was down there Saturday only, climbing at the Contest Wall in the Gulch. Where the hell was everyone? Did you all seek sun at Cactus? I knew I should have called someone or at least asked where the shiz you were going to be. Man, I'm a hoser. Anyway, maybe next time. Hey hearn, were you by chance the dude I was talking to about the Platte and Garden climbing and blah, blah, blah?

I'm looking for someone to do some early (6-7:30) morning bouldering with now that daylight savings time is done. I prefer Sanitas, but could be persuaded up Flagstaff. -Ian

We went and climbed granite up in Estes Park on Sunday. The day started out cloudy and cold and then turned sunny and nice. So fun! The descent was all postholing in deep snow, however. Quite chilly, but we kept moving and didn't mind too much. http://i40.photobucket.com/...imstich/IMG_0121.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/...imstich/HPIM0038.jpg Climbed up at Cadillac Crag on Saturday. Not a soul there. Did V3, a nice long 5.8 dihedral. You have to go do that route. Save a #4 Camelot for the very top where it widens out just before a chockstone. Lead that first pitch on Rincon. Sheesh! It was way harder than the 5.10 on the right we toproped. Pretty windy all weekend in both places. Did anyone make it to the Spot Halloween party? Always wanted to hear a trip report about that.

Good times at Shelf. Wished I spent the night now! Sunday, I went to Cactus with Heather2004 and Co. The trail is pretty nice. And from Saturday, Founding member of the Ballsy Girls Club: http://i3.photobucket.com/...dorolik/100_1956.jpg

I thought anykineclimb was the third member of the Ballsy Girls Club! Didn't he also lead the hangerless route? Not to be outdone by the girls? :D Thanks catclimbs! BTW, I did hang on one of those leads.... Wait, didn't cindylou also send her hardest lead to date as well?

So now that it's in writing I guess the Ballsy Girls Club is official... Thanks catclimbs for getting me in on your adventures at Shelf last weekend. And thanks to the whole group for making me feel welcome. For the near future my thoughts are trending toward Sheep's Nose and a route called Lost in Space... gotta keep the club going and all, besides, I'm a granite lover. Hard rock, incipient cracks, and a little bit of runout- why not?!

Hard rock, incipient cracks, and a little bit of runout- why not?! trad, crack, granite? three of my favorite words. i'm in! you'll have to take the 2 harder pitches tho. and if you don't mind climbing with three, i'd bet we could get catclimbs to join. weather permitting of course.
