If you would like some ability to customize the way that rc.com pages appear in your browser, then you might be interested in another script I have written, RC.com Tweaks. The script allows you to brighten up rc.com with a little color and to remove certain advertising elements and deadspace to make more room for substantive content on the page.
You can downloaded RC.com Tweaks here. Like Killfile, the script requires the Firefox browser and the Greasemonkey Firefox extension. Links to download pages for Firefox and Greasemonkey can be found on the RC.com Tweaks homepage.

I don't know if you meant to do this or not, but when I go to the Userscripts.org page, under "DOWNLOAD/INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS" the "Click here" link directs you to your Killfile program NOT the tweaks program.
I had to click the "Install This Script" button in the right-hand column to get this to work.

Additional info: I run ad-blocking software (Privoxy) on my computer, and I wrote this script with Privoxy enabled. The results, when all the "tweaks" are enabled, is a very clean page. I just tested the script with my ad-blocking software turned off, and the results are not as effective. If you're not running ad-blocking software, and you don't like how the "tweaked" pages look, you might consider downloading and running a free ad-blocking program, like Privoxy.

The Firefox extensions Adblock Plus and Adblock Element Hiding Helper hide the ads, but they leave deadspace behind. It is precisely this deadspace that Tweaks removes, increasing the space on the page for substantive content. I just tested Tweaks with Adblock Plus and Adblock Element Hiding Helper, and the results are good, although I like Privoxy better than the Adblock extensions because Privoxy automatically bocks all ads, whereas the Adblock extensions only block ads (or domains) that you choose. If you want to block selected ads, then choose Adblock; if you want to block all ads, choose Privoxy; and RC.com Tweaks works quite well with both to delete the deadspace they leave behind.

I found the biggest win for me was privoxy rather than the script, so thanks for posting on that.
Couldn't at a glance see which useful links were relocated.
Kudos on nice design, you integrated the admin so smoothly that I had to go back to the script site to figure out how to change the settings.

You can also download filter sets for adblock. They seem to do what you describe for Privoxy. The filter sets are automatically updated by someone else, and they block ads without you having to choose domains or ads. In any case, when I am on my computer with Firefox, I will try out the script. Thanks.

No, they're not. What I found was that, with the website's color scheme, cleaned up pages were very cold. All I did was add a warm color to certain gray elements, like table headers, to warm up the pages a little. In principle, if someone with some talent wanted to come up with a richer color scheme, I'd consider implementing it. If anyone wants to do that, contact me by PM first, so I can explain what the constraints would be.

Works fine; wasn't logged in when looked at initial page, so not much to relocate.

I like that people (well, JT) are coming out with Firefox additions to rc.com, because I am all about extra features...
However, be aware of the effect blocking ads could have on this site. Being that this site is free, hosting costs and ddt's porn addiction are paid by hits on the ads. If we all start using this, it could severely affect the services we get back.
If ads bother you that much or slow your page load times a lot, then go ahead. But personally I don't even notice them.

I would be surprised to find that the regulars (read: those most likely to use Jay's add-ons) ever actually click an advertisement; if not by accident. You said yourself that you don't even notice them. So blocking them out completely shouldn't affect click rate.
I wonder if Jay can't make a background program that clicks the ads without opening up a visable browser - everybody wins.
And I should add, that in addition to being annoying, the ads scream “Hey, I’m surfing the internet on something totally unrelated to work”. I try to keep my rc.n00b addiction between me, you, and my IT guy.
