It's almost like some of the guys that are out in the hills are only doing so so that they can justify wearing merrels and the north face, and post pictures of it on their myspace. Now I'm not saying posting pics of yourself climbing is teh ghey, but climbing so you can post pics is. I have a friend who has a set of axes he uses for an conversation piece when he has chicks over.

Ive used my cell phone during bouldering sessions in Yosemite Valley, but it's to talk to friends about problems or about meeting up to pad up a new highball. Or to contact some females for pizza and beers at Curry. Ohh LaLa. I hate phones and GPS units. When people rely on these little machines, they seem to lack the necessarry survaival skills that all parties should know before heading out into a wilderness setting. This is why I help out with SAR's. To help the idiots who rely on machines and choose not to learn the skills. I mean c'mon.....even Napolean Dynamite's got some skills.
