Good point, Steve. Saturday was hang head in shame day as the Badger fell to the Illini. Sunday should be stand up and cheer day as the #1 team in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers, host the Detroil Lions (one of the worst teams in the NFL). Should be another winner. 8 and 1 sounds really nice. Let's hope it happens. GO PACK! Steve

Stop it. You're making me jealous. Haven't climbed this YEAR yet. Well, a little over Memorial Day Weekend. Seconded half a 60 foot route before getting tired and quitting due to a bad flu. Steve

I'm trying to talk number 3 son into some top roping but he said he didn't want to risk the paycheck (me) being out of work because my foot is still screwed. I don't think a tensioned top rope is as bad as walking. Right?

I find that really cool that you are getting your three year old daughter into climbing! Way to go! I am heading out right now to do some easy bouldering in my woods.

I clipped 167 plastic clothespins to my face. Just three short of a world record!

I worked yesterday morning, then went out to dinner last night with a friend. Stuffed my face to the point of nausea -- New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, followed by a huge crawfish etouffe & THREE of their little loaves of bread, washed down with bananas foster, wine, and coffee with Baileys. I don't feel too good. Going to the gym tonight to play raquetball and *maybe* get some climbing in but I tweaked one of my fingers climbing last weekend and I'm not sure if I should risk using it yet. pretty boring weekend . . .

I tried to lead They Died Laughing at Cathedrel, but it was cold and covered in snow, so I aided it.

we mainly stuck to 5.7 due to the fact i was teaching some people how to climb, we did taco time on thunderdome wall, a nice lead. they enjoyed the top rope, then my main climbing buddie and i jumped on barter town, also on thunderdome, and wore our selves out on a 5.11 sport lead, we did not even get to the third bolt, damn 5.11 campus moves, and then a simple 5.8 crack on upper scott to winde down the day! so much fun i hurt so much from that bloody damn 11 but it will be mine ohhhhhhh yes it will be mine!

i went camping upstate NY.. to someone's farm named harry leavy. It was with alot of my friends (boyscouts) so i was cool. We shot shot guns (12 guage) and .22 rifles. At night we played man hunt, and then we got tired of that and ran around and tackled people. We had arranged fights too, it was funny. Though i wasnt anything dangerous, no punching or anything like that. Just wrestling. sooooooo much fun. and then best part was, i got my breakfast served to me in my tent chris

dude, onbelay osu, that Barter Town is a toughass 5.11. Mentally too, it is just scary getting to the first bolt. Don't try to campus it, it is all about static reaches and high steps. we'll have to meet up out there sometime.

Bouldered two days by meself. Quick session friday evening at Horsetooth - it was a little muddy due to the recent snow, which made for more reason to stay on. Chatted with Mark Wilford on the hike home. Long session at Carter today. Had a good OS and worked some hard problems. Crazy windy but fun.

As I suspected. Screamed in shame at the Badgers on Saturday. Laughed and cheered for the Packers on Sunday. #1 in the NFL, baby, yeah! Steve

Quote: we'll have to meet up out there sometime. boom. caught the partner cheating again. i had a kick ass weekend, mostly to console the heartache of having a partner who likes to climb around with other folks. i spent another amazing weekend in joshua tree, sent my first trad lead, and had the holy jeebus scared out of me several times over. since i havent really stopped shaking yet, i'm still not sure if the fear factor has sucked me in or repelled me from the wonderful world of trad leading. i also hurt my knee (again), broke a nail, and scratched the holy hell out of my hands .. oh, and i got to have a nice juicy steak on friday .. yum.

You'll always have me, Amber. I still love you. Paul is just a wild child needing to soil his oats at any chance he gets. At least I limit my love to You, Abi, Amy, Ann, Becca, Yvette, and recently required harem girl, Meghan, but only if she's allowed to use my rack. I don't object to that. Steve

Other than snowshoeing and shoveling snow (as well as getting my truck un-stuck a few times), I spent the rest of my weekend laughing my @ss off every time I looked at hueco's clothespin pic!!! I'll be cheering you on for your next attempt in breaking the world record. -k.
